GARDEN OF HOPE
At long last, the microfinance program has been extended to men who are interested in growing vegetables such as cabbage, lettuce, garden eggs, pepper and onions and tomato. Tenant farmers receive capital loans in the form of farm equipments, fertilizers, water for irrigation and a small amount of money to pay for food so they can work on the farm. The immediate goal is to expand gradually and eventually consider agricultural products processing plant to preserve tomato the supply of which exceed demand and go to waste during the tomato season but become very scarce and expensive during the off season. Our target is to get young city dwellers without jobs to become interested and use that opportunity to reach them with the Gospel of Christ. This year Garden of HOPE planted over seven thousand (7,000) mounds of local Ghanaian yams.
